Driving Target Viewers to Your Content Pages and Websites

Introduction: Why is driving target viewers to your online content pages and websites important?

The volume of target viewers your online content pages and websites get each day will dictate the sales you get each day.
If only 1 person out of 20000 daily searches for your target keywords, according to your keyword research, goes to your
content page and website each day, this means only 1 person goes to your online store each day. For a brick and mortar
store, this results to low sales. This also applies to online stores.

7.1. So how do we drive target viewers to our pages and websites? There are 2 interlinked ways to do this quickly
and properly. By "interlinked", this means method 1 also has good results for method 2.

Method 1 = Funneling Target Viewers from Pages and Sites Frequently Visited by Your Target Viewers to Your
Pages and Sites

How can we do this method? Do a search on Google using your target keywords. Go to the top page results.
If it's a forum with a lot of members discussing topics and things relevant to your target broad, sub and
micro niches, target keywords and target viewer groups, become a member and contribute useful
information and advice there
, but use softsell marketing writing, and continue doing
this even if you can already post links on your signature box and profile page
.

If it's a video directory site with thousands of viewers per day, become a member and
upload videos providing useful information and helpful advice, and use your target keywords there
as well as a watermark of your business name, author name and website URLs or content page URLs offerring supplemental
info and advice about relevant topics and keywords covered by your target keywords
.

If it's a document-sharing site regularly visited by lots of your target viewers daily, become a
member
and contribute documents providing updated info and helpful advice relevant to your target viewer
, and use your target keywords and website or content page URLs effectively.

If it's a popular article directory, become an author member and contribute
articles offerring updated info and helpful advice relevant to your target viewer groups
, then use your
target keywords as anchors of your links pointing to your website and content pages providing supplemental information
and advice
.

If it's a blog, go to the blog and contribute updated information and helpful
advice to the discussions of relevant blog posts
there and also keep in mind to contribute updated info
and helpful advice that has yet to be mentioned in the discussions
, especially if it's regularly visited by a lot
of people who belong to your target viewer groups, though keep in mind to use softsell content marketing writing,
then include your links pointing to supplemental info and advice whenever it's necessary to do so.

If it's a social media site, become a member and contribute updated info and
helpful advice
.

If it's a website without comment boxes or the like, then contact its owners and offer your content development services in exchange for the publication of your content with links, pointing to your
website and content pages, on their websites... You can also contact owners of sites targeting slightly
different yet still highly relevant keywords
to tell them you want to guest post or to become a guest
author or content provider
on their sites, of course mention you'll be placing your
business name, author name and links pointing to your website and content pages since your site and pages provide
supplemental info and advice...
And, contact owners of sites with a large mailing list database of people
included in your target viewer groups
then offer to contribute written, video, audio, image or software
content with your links which they can post on their sites
, and also ask them to place your business
name, author name and links with a brief overview of your business on their newsletters
.

If it's a community site with lots of regular visitors included in your target viewer groups, become a
member and contribute updated information and helpful advice relevant to your target broad, sub and micro niches, target
viewer groups, target topics and target keywords.

Point is, you should find out how you can contribute softsell content providing updated info and helpful advice,
relevant to your target broad, sub and micro niches, target viewer groups, target topics, target keywords and whatever
you are offering, on sites and pages with lots of visitors included in your target viewer groups per day, as well as on
sites and pages ranking high for your target keywords on search engines like Google and Yahoo! among others. Your purpose
for doing this is to expose your softsell content and links pointing to your websites and content pages to a wider
percentage of your target viewer groups. You are establishing your business and reputation as a friendly expert source of
free info and advice relevant to the needs, demands and problems of your target viewer groups by helping them out with the
content you contribute, be it written content, video content, audio content, image content, software content, press
release content, etc. You will increase your sales by doing this.

For using your target keywords as anchors of your website and content page URLs, search for "HTML code anchor link" on
Google and you'll see a lot of pages offerring tutorials on how to do this properly. For using your target keywords as
anchors of your website and content page URLs on forums which do not make use of HTML codes for link anchoring, search for
"BB code HTML link" on Google and you'll see a lot of tutorials for this. If you get stuck on how to use keywords as
anchors of URLs, Google knows where you can go to learn this.

Method 2: Increasing the Search Engine Rankings of Your Website and Content Pages for Your Target Keywords

What is a "backlink"? It is a link pointing back to your website or content page URL, hence the term "backlink".
What is "Google PR"? Google PR (Page Rank) is a value given by Google to websites and content pages - a homepage
and the other content pages of a website can have different Google PR values, and the higher the Google PR value of a
website or content page, the stronger it is in terms of rankings and authority in the eyes of Google.
What is "Alexa Rank"? Alexa Rank is a value given by Alexa to a website. The lower the value, the more viewers the
website gets in the eyes of Alexa.
What is "dofollow"? "Dofollow" is an HTML tag which tells search engines that it can crawl the linked page and
pass some Google PR value from the page holding the link to the linked page.
What is "nofollow"? "Nofollow" is an HTML tag which tells search engines that it should not crawl the linked page
nor pass some Google PR value from the page with the link to the linked page. This is used to prevent backlink spammers
from exploiting pages of ethical websites.

There are many beliefs when it comes to improving the search engine rankings of websites and content pages. According to
the results from our constant tests, these are the strategies which provide the best results:

  1. "Properly" optimize your domain name for your target keywords. By "properly", study this example situation -- If 2
websites are both new, and the domain of each website was only registered today at the exact same time, plus the IP
addresses of each website are located in the same area and even in different areas, provided the IPs have not been
previously flagged for any unethical online activity, the website with the domain "audiobookstore.com" will be better in
the eyes of Google in terms of rankings than the website with the domain "audiobooksforsale.com" even for the keyword
"audio books for sale". This was publicly stated by a Google software engineer last Aug 2010.

  2. Optimize the robots.txt, sitemap.xml and the meta info (meta title, meta description, meta keywords) of your website
    and pages for search engines.

  3. Optimize the sitemap.xml of your websites and pages also for your target viewer groups in terms of visual impact and
    navigability.

  4. Make sure your website and pages are XML and W3C compliant.

  5. Make sure the layout of your website and pages offer optimal user navigability experience.

  6. Make sure your website and pages are accessible to disabled users of accessibility software. Provide helpful
descriptions as alt text values of the images and buttons of your websites and pages. Google provides audio capchas and
the "Basic HTML" view on Gmail and other Google services. An inference of ours = Google also considers site accessibility
as a factor in determining the value provided by a website to viewers.

  7. Make sure your backlinks are on "dofollow" pages and websites with high Google PR.

So, constantly implementing method 1 will improve the amount of target viewers you get each day, improving sales in the
process. And, you will also improve your search engine rankings with method 1, provided you follow numbers 1 to 7 above,
which will in turn further boost the volume of viewers you get each day. And, since you're contributing useful softsell
content on pages and sites ranking high for your target keywords on search engines as described in method 1, then your
target viewers who use your target keywords on Google to search for relevant information and advice will also see your
contributed content along with your businessname, author name and backlinks if any on those top search results.
